The units of the Office of the Styrian Government are:
- Administrative Support Unit for Central Administration and Internal Audit
- Administrative Support Unit for Administrative Reform, Innovation and Strategic Project Management
- Communication Unit of the State of Styria
- Protocol, Awards and Honours Unit
- Special Department for Disaster Management and Defence
We are the central point of contact for all Styrian administrative bodies in all matters related to internal services. In everything we do, we focus on ensuring efficient and effective administrative processes, which are continuously improved through ensuring their compliance with up-to-date standards that are uniform throughout the whole of Styria. We are eager to ensure that the demands placed on administrative bodies by the people of Styria are met in the best possible manner. To this end, we act competently with costs and sustainability in mind.
The Communication Unit is in charge of press and public relations work of the State of Styria and, as such, acts as an important information hub at the interface between the people of Styria and political decision-makers.
Another representative office is the Protocol, Awards and Honours Unit which is in charge of protocol matters of the State of Styria, such as state visits or official receptions, the presentation of awards and distinctions, and the use of the Styrian coat of arms.
The Special Department for Disaster Management and Defence, in turn, ensures that the Styrian emergency response organisations are provided with the equipment, training and legal framework they need to perform their invaluable tasks for the safety and security of our state. The Alarm Centre of the State of Styria acts as the emergency and dispatch control centre for all small-scale emergency organisations and warns the public in the case of an emergency. The coordination centres for emergency and disaster medicine and crisis intervention ensure basic emergency medical care for the people of Styria as well as acute psychosocial care for victims and relatives in crisis situations.
