"The Budget Management Team is in charge of the Department's financial tasks and budget management. We plan, draw up and monitor Department 9's budgets, we manage the Department's budget and accounting system, including assets accounting, we handle fiscal issues, manage budgetary control including reporting, are involved in defining the medium-term orientation of the State's budget management and in preparing the State's financial accounts, and we co-ordinate the measures in terms of impact evaluation within the Department.

We prepare reports about cultural sponsorship, buy works of art and handle investment controlling as specified in the Policy on Shareholdings of the State of Styria."
