Labour, Integration and Social Security

The Section is in charge of labour, integration and social security. This includes fundamental and strategic work in these areas and the specialised supervision of needs-oriented minimum income and labour law. The connections between labour market, integration and social policies are of special importance in the legal and technical work.

The tasks include:

• Fundamental and strategic work in the areas of labour, integration and social security
• Specialised supervision with regard to needs-based minimum income and labour law
• Technical assessment and monitoring of funding projects concerning labour and qualification, integration and the fight against poverty
• Cooperation and networking in the focus areas of the section
• Decisions on the ultimate bearing of costs of needs-based minimum income and social aid
• Office of the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee
• Granting exemption permits for child and youth employment for performances and public events
• Social work in the context of needs-based minimum income: Consulting and support for recipients of needs-based minimum income
