The Administrative Support Unit for Organisation and Personnel supports the Head of Department in vital organisational issues.

- Human resources planning and management
- Controlling and reporting in the department
- Maintaining and updating the organisation handbook
- Drawing up processes and procedures
- Internal services matters
- Coordination of training and continuing training activities within the department
- Intra-departmental coordination of motions tabled in government meetings and parliamentary inquiries
- Organisational and administrative matters of IT for Department 13 (IT system support, support and maintenance of data servers, internet and intranet)
- Handling the telephone switchboards of Department 13
- Procurement and inventory management of office supplies and equipment
- Office management
- Business travel and vehicle fleet management
- Management of the Electronic Filing System ELAK
