Tasks
The Social Work unit deals with all matters of social work and the related tasks of a superior authority.
In the context of developing the basis and strategy of social work, we develop and implement quality standards, methods and technical concepts.
Training courses and supervision are provided to social work experts with a view to continuously developing the quality of social work services.
The unit is also in charge of the subject-specific supervision of social work matters in the district administration authorities. The focus in all of this is on ensuring performance that complies with the specified quality standards and a Styria-wide consistent social work.
Other tasks of the social work unit include quality standards and ensuring maternal-parental counselling, birth preparation, parenting and family counselling centres of the Province of Styria and relevant specifications in the field of foster care and adoption.
